Terms of Service

The short, human terms for using Kismet — including the only rule that really matters: no take-backs.

Effective July 2026.

The deal

Kismet is a group-decision app: crews submit hidden picks, a server-side draw selects one, and the crew agrees to honor the result. By using Kismet you agree to these terms — including, morally if not legally, the no-take-backs pact.

Your account

  • You must be 13 or older.
  • Keep your sign-in method (Apple, Google, or phone) yours; you’re responsible for activity under your account.
  • One account per human. Usernames are first-come, first-served, and impersonation gets removed.

Your content

  • You own your picks and activity content. You give us the license needed to run the service — to store picks, seal them, reveal winners, and show your name to your crew.
  • Don’t submit anything illegal, hateful, or harassing. Fate declines to choose between terrible options, and so do our moderators.

The draw

Draws are final. The service performs one uniformly random draw per activity at the scheduled time, with seed and result persisted. We don’t re-roll outcomes, and we can’t be responsible for what your crew does with the answer (we hope it’s a great night).

The service

  • Kismet is provided as-is, without warranties. We aim for boring reliability, especially at draw time.
  • We may update these terms; material changes get announced in the app. Continued use is acceptance.
  • We can suspend accounts that abuse the service, other users, or the fairness of the draw.
